Spring Cleanups for Central Valley Landlords
Thanks to warmer weather across the Central Valley now is the right time for landlords to start thinking about spring cleanups to get their properties ready for summer.
In this post we will share with you 7 property clean up tips that you should consider for your rental properties in the Central Valley.
Tip 1 – Prune Overgrown Bushes and Trees
One of the best ways to insure that the landscape surrounding your rental property looks great all summer long is by pruning back overgrown trees, bushes and other plants on your property now then fertilizing those plants to insure that they grow normally throughout the rest of the year.
Tip 2 – Check Your Irrigation System
If your Central Valley Rental Property has an irrigation system you should take the time to turn it on then check your sprinkler heads, or drip irrigation lines, to make sure that your irrigation system is functioning normally.
Tip 3 – Power Wash Your Driveway and Sidewalk
Another great way to improve the look of your rental property is to power wash the driveway, sidewalk and even the outside of your rental home since this will remove months of built up dirt and grime.
Tip 4 – Plant New Flowers!
Planting new flowers is a great way to add new life to your landscape and improve your rental homes curb appeal.
The great thing about planting new flowers is that you don’t always have to plant flowers in the grounds surrounding your property, you can purchase flowers which are already grown in planters, pots and containers from your local home and garden store then place those in front of your property.
Tip 5 – Remove Trash and Debris from the Property
Rent a dumpster or trash can to remove any trash or debris on the property surrounding your Central Valley Rental which may have accumulated over the last 6 months.
Tip 6 – Buy a New Mail Box
You can purchase a new mail box almost anywhere these days, including over the Internet. A brand new mail box is another important aspect of improving curb appeal while solving a practical purpose of helping the post office find your rental home more easily.
Tip 7 – Paint, Paint and More Paint!
Last of all, but most important, you should consider painting any fences surrounding your property since the harsh winter weather can weatherize a fence and a fresh coat of paint will help to bring that fence back to life.
During the time that you’re painting outside you should also consider giving your patio or deck a fresh coat of paint and painting your front door as well.
